STORM M808
The feel is great, not covered in rubberized coatings, breathable with the honeycomb... I partially went with this mouse for those features to see if it would help with the eczema on my hand, and it seemed to, so that was great too.
But, as others have said, after 5 months of use, never leaving my desk, it's started just randomly disconnecting/reconnecting at times and sometimes not being recognized as a device at all. Unplug it for a while and plug it back in and it seems happier for a while. But this is the second time I've had to dig out another mouse in the last two weeks because it was constantly dropping/reconnecting while gaming.
As others have said, I suspect the cable too, as the super lightweight weave is nice, but right where it connects to the mouse it feels like the wires are twisted/gnarled just outside of the strain relief sleeve. Doesn't explain why unplugging it for a while seems to help, other than maybe manipulating the cable as part of unplugging it shifts something.
But I really do like this mouse overall, so not looking forward to dealing with it the next time it happens, as I assume it will... or trying to find a replacement, as it took me forever comparing mice before I ended up going with this back in July.
The mouse broke after only a year of usage. When I plug in the usb cable, the pc recognizes it, then the mouse starts working for a few seconds, after that, it stops working all the way. If you don't use the mouse for a week after this happens, it starts working though. Other than this issue, I have to mention that this mouse has one of the most comfortable cables I have ever seen. As for the technical specs, well, everything is good, except, it isn't really that lightweight since it is 90g.
its a really great mouse overall, BUT!... The mouse started disconnecting and reconnecting randomly i tought something was wrong with my pc config usb suspeding etc. i disabled everything but it didnt work. i connected another mouse to the pc it worked without problems. i think something happened with the mouse cable cuz its not disconnecting and reconnecting randomly when i dont use it i bought it 3-4 months ago. i dont want to play with another crappy mouse so i think i use this until completly broke. i dont give this mouse 1 star bcs i really like it:)
Light and Very Strong Cable!
