DHARMA K740 PRO

I recently got my hands on this Redragon K740 Pro keyboard and I've gotta say, it's been an absolute joy to type on. I've used Redragon keyboards in the past, and always had a good experience. This one is their best out-of-the-box board by far. The first thing that really stood out to me was how solid and sturdy it feels. It's base is made entirely out of metal alloy, which gives it this nice heavy weight and makes it feel like a tank - you can tell it's built to last. The keys feel fantastic too. They have just the right amount of bounce, making it super comfortable to type on, and the sound is pretty good too! Creamy, not too thocky or tappy. I love it.

Another big plus is that there's no stem wobble at all. For those not in the know, that's when your keycaps wiggle around because the stem tolerance in the switches isn't tight enough. But with this keyboard, every key sits snug as a bug - this is honestly rare in keebs at this price point, unless you mod them yourself. It's one of those nice little luxuries that you didn't know you needed until you feel it on your fingers.

And speaking of mods, I want to give props to how easy it is to mod this thing. I've modded Redragons in the past to great success (they are perfect for budget/beginner mod builds). Whether you're looking to just swap out some keycaps or upgrade the switches, it's pretty much a breeze thanks to its straightforward design. It even comes with spare switches, and a keycap/switch puller! It's almost like they know you're going to customize it.. ;) I'll probably change the keycaps, as I don't like the rounded edge design, but this is only a matter of personal taste.

The only con I can come up with is the RGB backlighting - it's not great. There's plenty of flashy modes, but it's kinda dim, which is disappointing because I have other Redragons with brilliant, super-bright backlighting. I don't care that much, though. Truth be told, I usually keep my backlights pretty low anyway, they can be kind of distracting. Would be nice to have the option though.

If you're in the market for a high-quality mechanical keyboard, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try. It may seem a bit pricy, but it's something I use all day and I prefer it to be quality. So check this board out, you won't be disappointed.

Okay, I've tried several redragon items - keyboards, mice, gaming keyboards etc. I've returned all of them. Until now.

I didn't understand what I was purchasing before, and this time I really checked for the things that are important to me. The quality needs to be there. I hate flimsy keyboards. This one.... CHECK. It's heavy, you could probably do some damage if you swung it upside someones head (don't do that, its meant for typing.. I'm just saying).

The keys are adequately clickly but they don't take a lot of effort to click down, which is great. It's a bit nosier than I'd like, but I'm finding that is kind of a universal situation when you're looking for compact gaming computers which function in the way I want. I like a little click, but this one is just a little disruptive to me, esp the space bar. But, I overlook this as I love everything else about it.

I like that it's a full keyboard with the keypad, but shockingly, it's still more compact than the previous keyboard I had without a keypad. Due to the size, ease of typing, and comfort of this keyboard, I can use it for gaming and for work purposes, which requires I type a decent amount. The previous keyboards I tried, I had to have one for gaming and one for work because the keybinds I need for the different things were ... idk, like not working well together.

I do have one note, and IDK why this happens - if it's me or the keyboard, but the W key sticks sometimes. Or, maybe "sticks" isn't the right word, it's like it's ULTRA sensitive. I wont be pressing the key - no click coming from it - but my fingers resting on it (WASD gaming controls) and just my finger resting on it will "push" it enough to register with the game, which usually isn't a big deal since it's just minecraft - walking forward, butttttt, it does get a little annoying when I'm trying to open a menu or something and it keeps happening. Admittedly, I have not looked into how to fix this or if it can be fix, so clearly it's not annoying me that bad.
However, the keyboard did come with replacement switches and keys so I think, if it is a keyboard issue (and not a me just pushing when I don't realize issue), those will likely fix it right up.
It also has volume controls right on it, which are very intuitive and easy to use. I have small hands, so the compactness is really great for me. I can access all of my keybinds and shortcuts much faster and without having to use my other hand, which is excellent.

I picked up the Redragon K740 Pro because I wanted a compact 98-key layout with wireless capability, and honestly, this thing punches way above its price tag. The build feels more premium than I expected — the PBT keycaps have that textured, durable feel you normally get on much more expensive boards, and the layout strikes a perfect balance between compactness and usability. The RGB lighting is vibrant without being obnoxious, and the fact that it supports 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired modes makes it super flexible. I’ve used it across my desktop, laptop, and tablet with no major issues switching between devices.

Typing on it has been surprisingly satisfying. The mechanical switches have a clean, consistent feel, and the stabilizers are much quieter than I expected from a budget-friendly board. I didn’t have to mod anything to make it sound decent — out of the box, it has a nice thocky profile without that hollow metallic ping you get from cheaper keyboards. Battery life has also been pretty solid. With RGB on medium brightness, I’ve been getting several days of normal use before needing to recharge. It reconnects quickly after waking up, and there’s almost zero noticeable lag in 2.4GHz mode.

The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of a couple minor quirks. The software feels a little clunky, and customizing the RGB or remapping keys isn’t as intuitive as it should be. Also, while the build is good, the case does have a little flex if you really squeeze it — not a dealbreaker, but a reminder that this isn’t a $150 board. Still, for the price, this is easily one of the best mid-range wireless mechanical keyboards out there. If you want great typing feel, strong wireless performance, and a nearly full layout without the bulk, the K740 Pro is absolutely worth picking up.

Ich hatte Redragon bisher nicht auf dem Schirm gehabt, aber dieses Modell ist echt nicht schlecht. Einzig die kleinen Schalter auf der Unterseite wirken nicht so hochwertig. Der Tasten Klang ist Geschmackssache, aber ich finde ihn angenehm. Die Beleuchtung scheint auch durch die tasten durch. Das macht das Schreiben im dunkeln auch möglich.
Die wireless Funktion war bisher bei mir ohne Störungen. Die Tastatur ist aus Aluminium. Etwas schwerer aber auch stabiler.
