Pozwala on wysłać wynik obliczeń bezpośrednio do aktywnego okna — na przykład do Excela albo Worda. Czyli liczysz coś na numpadzie i jednym kliknięciem wrzucasz wynik tam, gdzie pracujesz.
Same klawisze funkcyjne też są dobrze przemyślane:
I bought this numpad mainly because it had a calculator mode. The idea was simple: do quick, basic operations and push the result straight into the PC. Nothing fancy. I wasn’t looking for a scientific calculator, just something that handles standard operations properly.
Unfortunately, the calculator mode uses a non-standard operation preference, so it doesn’t behave the way a normal calculator should. That completely defeats the purpose. I ended up giving up on that feature altogether.
What really annoys me, though, is the sleep behaviour and the lighting timeout. After a few minutes, the backlight turns off. At that point you can’t tell whether the numpad is asleep or still active. So you either start typing and realise you’ve just woken it up with the first keypress — meaning that key wasn’t registered — or you sit there second-guessing it.
In practice, that means wrong inputs. I often look at screen 1 and type numbers into another application without checking the keypad. Instead of entering 1.19876, I get .19876 because the first keypress only woke the device. If you’re in a rush, that’s not a minor typo. It can be genuinely costly.
For a peripheral clearly aimed at people who care about efficiency, that kind of behaviour feels poorly thought out.
The product is inexpensive and meets my initial requirements. However, I would have preferred more customisation options. These were not stated in the product description, so that is acceptable.
What truly disappointed me is the calculator. It handles operations at a very basic level. For example, while 2 + 3 * 4 = 14, the calculator returns 20, which shows that it does not follow standard operator precedence.
It also includes a “00” key, which I find useless. I would much rather have a larger “0” key. Because there is no way to customise the layout, the “00” key becomes redundant and, at times, actually gets in the way of the real “0” key.
I have never bought a numpad before, and thought it would be useless. I love it. The clicking sound, the option to use is as a calculator and a numpad at the same time, is marvelous and a great idea. It helps me a lot at work (programmer) when I want to calculate things without opening calc on my pc. I am also considering mapping button to use it for gaming. I loved the SEND button that should send the number shown in the AC (calculator) mode into the PC, however it never worked for me. I contacted Support who are very happy to help and I am awaiting their response.
It wasn't until moving to a smaller keyboard that I realised how much I relied on the numberpad, I just couldn't do without it. So, i searched Redragon for one and found the reasonably priced COVE K733 Mechanical Numpad. I feel whole again.
The built in calculator is a nice addition, despite mine having a screen issue that displays a decimal point after every 2,3,5,6,8,9 or 0 that's displayed. I have reported the issue to customer support, who are always happy to help.
