Introduction
In fast-paced games like Warframe, World of Warcraft, or competitive shooters, the right keyboard and mouse setup can make gameplay feel smoother and more natural. Warframe in particular pushes your inputs to the limit: chaining parkour moves, casting abilities, swapping weapons, and managing gear items - all while dodging and keeping your squad alive. On a standard setup, those actions can start to feel crowded across the keyboard.
That's why I was excited to try the Redragon Antonium K745 Pro keyboard and the Redragon M913 Impact Elite mouse with 12 programmable side buttons. After a bit of testing, I’ve found this duo to be a strong fit not just for Warframe, but for a variety of genres.
In this guide, I'll walk you through how I've set them up, my optimized Warframe keybinds and macros, and why this combo works so well across different games.
The Antonium K745 Pro is a full-sized mechanical keyboard that balances durability, responsiveness, and aesthetics. The switches are satisfying to press - tactile enough for feedback without being overly loud, but still with that familiar pop you hear in keyboard ASMR videos. Whether you’re chaining melee combos in Warframe or typing long messages in Discord, the feel is consistent and reliable.
Check out the K745 PRO ASMR video below to hear its satisfying tactile feedback:
Features that stand out:
Mechanical switches: fast actuation and long lifespan, ideal for high-intensity gaming.
Full N-key rollover: ensures every input registers, even when hitting multiple keys at once.
Customizable RGB lighting: color-code your WASD cluster or highlight ability keys for visibility in dim setups.
Solid build quality: the weight and stability prevent sliding around during intense gaming.
For Warframe, the most important factor is smart key placement. Controls are dense - it’s not just WASD and shoot, it’s bullet jumping, aim gliding, casting abilities, managing gear, switching to Operator/Drifter mode, and more. Here’s how I like to bind things on the K745 Pro:
Abilities → 1, 2, 3, 4 (5 for the Drifter).
Crouch / Slide → Left Ctrl.
Sprint / Roll → Shift (hold).
Alternate Fire → moved to Mouse Button 3 and T.
Melee Heavy Attack → moved to Mouse Button 3 and T.
Gear Wheel (backup) → Numpad.
What I enjoy most here is the balance between responsiveness and comfort. The keys don’t feel cramped, and with RGB I can instantly see my ability cluster glowing a different color, which helps when switching between frames with different kits. With your regular inputs remaining mostly default, the controls stay intuitive. I added “T” to the Alternate Fire and Melee Heavy Attack because it tends to be easier on the hands while allowing for better control of your aim.
The M913 is where the flexibility really shines for Warframe. With 12 programmable side buttons, it gives you an enormous amount of control without forcing your left hand to stretch across the keyboard.
Comfort and usability
Despite the number of buttons, the mouse feels ergonomic. The side keys are arranged in a grid that your thumb learns to navigate quickly with a little practice. It’s also lightweight enough that rapid flicks for aiming stay smooth.
Battery and software
If you’re using it wirelessly, battery life is solid - it easily lasts through multiple long sessions. The Redragon software makes macro programming straightforward, letting you assign single keys, combinations, or even multi-step macros.
This setup lets me instantly access Archgun, Archwing, consumables, restores, and more - all with my thumb and without needing to open the gear wheel first. You can find the settings to map your Numpad keys to the gear wheel in the keybind settings within Warframe.
While this guide focuses on Warframe, you can use these keybinds to your advantage in any game that would otherwise make you reach across the keyboard, or whenever you want to reduce the number of inputs needed to perform an action. For comfort, the three-click functionality on Macro Key 16 helps with shooting in bursts when you need more precision in games like Helldivers 2 or other titles.
Warframe is famous for giving players a huge number of tools. You’re not just shooting and slicing; you’re also:
Swapping into Archwing mid-mission.
Deploying restores.
Deploying a Specter to support you in battle.
Without macro keys, these actions often mean opening the gear wheel. By binding them to macros, everything becomes one thumb press away and drastically reduces the time needed to perform an action. In higher-level missions, this can mean the difference between survival or death. And when you’re grinding for an item, macros help cut down overall mission time.
The result is a smoother flow. It makes Warframe’s parkour and combat feel more seamless, which is exactly how the game was designed to be played.
My Recommended Warframe Settings with the Antonium K745 Pro & M913 Impact Elite
DPI & Sensitivity
DPI: 4000 for missions in Warframe, 1800 outside of missions.
In-game sensitivity: 0.52.
Fortunately, you can comfortably switch between DPI settings using the DPI buttons on the mouse, right in front of the scroll wheel. The mouse software also allows you to customize the different DPI levels.
What matters most is finding a DPI that feels natural for you and building muscle memory with it. 4000 DPI will be too fast for some players, especially if they aren’t used to it. Many people play between 800 and 1600 DPI, so it’s worth experimenting until you find what feels best. For more details, check out The Ultimate Guide to Understanding Gaming Mouse DPI.
Macro Mapping in Detail
I changed the four top-right keys on the Antonium K745 Pro keyboard to serve as multimedia buttons. As someone who enjoys watching content or listening to music during gaming sessions, this helps me control media without tabbing out.
Default Mute Key → Multimedia Play/Pause.
Default Calculator Key → Multimedia Stop.
Default Logout Key → Multimedia Previous.
Default Tab Manager Key → Multimedia Next.
My gear-wheel-to-numpad-to-macro setup for the M913 Impact Elite mouse looks like this:
Macro Key 1 → WWW Refresh → Unassigned for Warframe
Macro Key 11 → Numpad 3 → Gear Hotkey 3 → Air Support Charges
Macro Key 12 → Back → Unassigned for Warframe (but useful to go back in menus)
Macro Key 13 → Left Button
Macro Key 14 → Right Button
Macro Key 15 → Middle Button
Macro Key 16 → Three Click
SHIFT + Macro Key 11 → Discord Mute Toggle
This setup covers nearly every situational item in Warframe without cluttering the keyboard. You can also merge specific commands such as CTRL+E to execute a slide attack. Warframe allows these macros since they support accessibility without automating gameplay. This way you can save precious seconds and access your gear much faster - all while avoiding the cluttered gear wheel. You can also adjust the selection in the arsenal to your preference.
Expanding to Other Games
The Antonium K745 Pro + M913 combo isn’t just for Warframe.
World of Warcraft
Side buttons map perfectly to rotations, cooldowns, and interrupts. With 12 keys, you can bind your main skills without stretching to the 6-7 row on your keyboard. Distributing hotkeys across both hands reduces strain and helps during longer Mythic Plus and Mythic Raid sessions. I like using Shift, Control, and Alt in combination with the 1–6 row on the keyboard, while mouse macros handle utility functions like items/consumables, mounts and professions.
MMOs rely heavily on managing rotations, interrupts, utility, and cooldowns. A good UI, hotkey layout, and macro setup can make your runs significantly more comfortable and efficient. World of Warcraft is an excellent example: with classes easily exceeding 45 abilities, items, and more combined, being able to assign them all properly for comfortable, organized gameplay is a major advantage.
Minecraft
Not much needs to change here, but binding a macro key to double or triple right-click makes building more comfortable, reducing spam clicks - which is easier on both your mouse and your hand. To do this, simply create a macro that records two or three right-clicks, bind it to a macro key of your choice, and whenever you press that key it will execute a double or triple right-click for you. This way, you can build faster and with less strain.
Shooters (Helldivers 2, etc.)
A lot of shooters that require good ammo management, such as Helldivers 2, often place you in large open areas. In these situations, it’s beneficial to fire in bursts, so you can still deal damage without wasting too much ammo. The three-click action mentioned above can also help with burst fire, improving precision. Instead of only assigning a triple right-click macro, you can also assign a triple left-click macro that allows you to shoot in bursts even when your weapon is set to full-auto mode. This is also useful in other shooters where short bursts outperform full-auto fire.
Productivity
Back/Forward/Refresh shortcuts are handy for browsing and research. The Discord mute toggle keeps communication seamless without interrupting your flow. Some games, such as Warframe, also allow you to use the “Back”-button to go back within the UI, which also makes it more comfortable to navigate.
Tips for Setting Up Macros Efficiently
Start small. Map just a few essentials and expand as muscle memory builds.
Group logically. Place similar actions near each other (e.g., all restores on the same row). The order of my list considers the physical key rows on the mouse.
Use software profiles. The M913 Impact Elite lets you import/export profiles for different games. Switching between a Warframe profile and a WoW profile is quick.
Leverage combos. Assigning Shift + Macro keys (like my Discord mute) adds another layer of options.
Train your thumb. It feels unusual at first, but quickly becomes second nature.
Become familiar with your software. Redragon devices usually come with software that allows you to control your macros effectively.
Staying Comfortable: Ergonomics and Hand Health
Long gaming sessions can take a toll on your hands and wrists, especially in games with more complex input systems like Warframe. One underrated benefit of thoughtful keybinds and macro setups is that they can help reduce strain:
Less stretching: Placing abilities close to WASD or onto mouse macros avoids awkward reaches.
Balanced input load: Splitting actions between both hands prevents overuse of one side.
Reduced repetition: Mapping gear wheel items to single thumb presses lowers repetitive stress.
Natural hand positions: The Antonium K745 Pro’s full layout and the M913 Impact Elite’s ergonomic design encourage neutral posture.
This doesn’t replace good habits like taking breaks, stretching, and adjusting your chair and desk height, but it makes each session more comfortable. Over time, these small changes add up to less fatigue and more focus on gameplay.
Conclusion
The Redragon Antonium K745 Pro keyboard and M913 Impact Elite mouse are a useful combo for gamers who value control, speed, and comfort.
In Warframe, the ability to map gear wheel items directly to mouse macros makes gameplay flow far more naturally. Archgun, restores, and tools are always one press away, and combined with the Antonium’s mechanical responsiveness, abilities and movement chain together effortlessly.
Beyond Warframe, the setup adapts beautifully to MMOs, ARPGs, and shooters, while also adding quality-of-life improvements for daily browsing and communication.
If you’re looking for a keyboard and mouse that can handle both serious gaming and everyday tasks, this Redragon duo delivers. It’s not just about faster inputs - it’s about making every session smoother, more intuitive, and more fun.
