First and foremost: If you're looking for a budget TKL keyboard with a linear switch, this has basically everything you'd want to look for with a solid construction all around. 5 stars for rigidity and typing experience at this budget. The RGB is a nice bonus, with both the keys and the strip of RGB lighting you get above the arrow keys. Bumped down to 4.5 stars for software control.
The long: The design of the keyboard is extremely solid, with a plastic front cover (that I assume clamps down together) as a frame. The keyboard can be angled to three different heights and is best paired with a 20mm wrist rest. The right side of the keyboard contains a storage hole for the USB wireless dongle, the right contains the USB-C port and tri-mode connectivity switch. Comes with a 90 degree cable end so it can be tucked away while in use. While I personally prefer a clicky switch, the linear switches on this keyboard are as described and feel very easy to type, lubed switches with a solid "chunky" typing noise. The keycaps are doubleshot, with a clear plastic legend that diffuses the RGB lighting. The finishing edges of the keycaps have some very small burrs, but they do not interfere with the travel of the key at all.
As with some of the other Red Dragon products, the additional software is a bit more limiting than other brand names. For the RGB, while they offer some different modes, there's no way to combine modes into regions, i.e. you want X keys constantly lit up and the other keys to fade. In terms of switching between different lighting modes, you can do so through the software or switch through the modes via the keyboard commands. There isn't an option to switch between the 3 software profiles through the keyboard. Likewise, you have very limited control over the light bar above the arrow keys, with only a few modes (2 types rainbow, solid color, fade) to cycle through using the keyboard controls.
The software includes a macro editor; HOWEVER, there are no instructions (on the booklet or software) on how to use the macros on this keyboard. For the mouse, I can set specific buttons to macros. I have yet to figure out how to assign and use the macros on the keyboard.
