Membrane Gaming Keyboards Compared
After going through some Razor and Corsair keyboards over the last decade or so, I can confidently say, this is my favorite keyboard to date. Everything feels smooth. The backlight is nice and actually illuminates the letters/numbers on the keys instead of just lighting behind the key. Great for those dark, latenight hours. 10/10
SHIVA K512 Membrane Gaming Keyboard
One of my initial impressions of this keyboard was how high the keys sit compared to other keyboards used in the past, which were more geared for general / office use. However, this is positive, as they are still responsive, and comfortable under the fingers.
The backlight is a nice feature. There are several different settings you can select from, and the brightness is adjustable.
I mainly work from home, and this keyboard has been great to use so far. It's comfortable, the backlight is nice, and the wrist rest is a a nice inclusion as well. I like how the rest is magnetic and attaches to the keyboard.
If you're not used to a keyboard layout like this one, there may be a small adjustment period to get used to it. At first I kept hitting the first macro key when I meant to hit the ESC, but this is a minor thing.
Overall this is a solid keyboard and a good value.
I like it, it has worked well for me, however it has a couple of keys changed, but otherwise so far so good :)
I like the feel of the keys. Seams solid but not to clicky. Lights are nice and are pretty customizable. Not each key, but sections. The wrist rest was too plastic, shiny, and slick compared to the keyboard for my liking. I sprayed mine with black Plasti-Dip and like it better because it gives it a little more grip. Overall I am very happy with the purchase.
