Better Than I Knew it Could Be: Amazing for First Time Mechanical Keyboard Ppl

I've never used a mechanical keyboard. I've only ever used big, loud, cheap and traditional keyboards or a laptop keyboard. Anytime I heard the terms "thwok" or "creamy," I lowkey kinda gagged cuz wtv ya'll are doing with your mics is NOT, from my experience, accurate to the actual sound this thing makes, and I never got any sense of thwok or cream from what I was hearing. I still don't hear it in person, but I do LOVE the sound. I also recorded what it sounded like from my phone mic and it kinda sounds the same as what I was hearing from keyboard lovers/reviewers. It's not that tinny. It's def not that loud. It is VERY satisfying, and coming from a non-asmr, non-keyboard girlie I'm sure that means something to someone.

It's *heavy.* Heavier, at least than my Logitec wtv tf I got for $30-40 last year that was somehow collecting crumbs no matter how far away I was when eating >:( I have seen people bring up the fact it is plastic and not aluminum, for whatever reason, but this thing feels STURDY. I was scared of breaking it when I first pulled off my first key, and I no longer have that fear now.

Prying off my Antonium's keys for the first time was an experience. I've never pulled the keys off my keyboards before and it scared the crap out of me. The little key puller-thing is exactly what I think one should expect for a free thing. It works, but I think I'm going to buy something more sturdy for the task. Being able to properly assure myself that my keys are clean (as the Greatest Technician that's Ever Lived has given me a "gootch collection" phobia xD), and doing a bi-monthly deep clean is so much easier!

ONE weird downside: I think I may have splashed some nail polish remover onto the right corner and there has been discoloration due to that. I've never had that be an issue on anything I've owned before, so keep acetone away from it.

There is a setting that makes the keys really sensitive, so having used a lot of laptop keyboards and moving to a full-size keyboard was a hassle because I would often miss letters just due to not pressing keys hard enough. I don't have that problem anymore. I type a lot for school, and I game a lot, and my job requires a lot of typing so having a easy time with keypressing is fantastic.

The battery also lasts forever! I charged it to full a few days ago, wrote a dissertation or two (as you can tell, I yap), played a bunch of different games (end of the semester), and went out for a couple days. I have not had to recharge it.

The only actual downside is that I can't give the RGB as much customization as I would like. I love that the colours themselves, when in rainbow, are somehow both vibrant and almost pastel, and it has the nicest purples I have seen on a keyboard (I love blurple without it being *too* blue), but I can only have one of my own custom colours at a time. There are a lot more "you get rainbow and nothing else" options as well. The speed for some of the options is always a little faster than I'd like, but that's also a personal issue, and I really think it's so subjective that it's not worth taking away a whole star.

I would honestly give this a 4.5/5 just for my own little personal preferences, but because it's such a lovely experience, feels so good to use, feels durable, AND IT COMES IN PURPLE (redacted rant about all gaming stuff being in black/red, pink, AND NEVER IN FRIGGEN PURPLE), and I expect that it won't break for a long, long time...and if it does, I'm getting another one:D 5/5. Just finagle the software so I can customize more stuff xD

Don't mess with the quality of this keyboard, peeps at RedDragon, cuz I love this damn thing and FOR THE PRICE? This is the nicest keyboard I've ever owned.

Great keyboard

It was a great purchase and I was scared because I am used to clicky keys and these are very soft but I have easily adapated to them and it was the best decision to swap! Even got cute little green frog keycaps
